Before transitioning to high school teaching, Emma Miller spent six years as a lab technician at Iowa State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and an MS in Genetics/Genomics. With an additional three years teaching college-level biology and labs, her dedication to quality science education led her to Denver, Colorado, where she gained three years of classroom experience while pursuing her Masters in Curriculum/Instruction.
